Had she learned to feel again, only to have to feel this? Could any amount of love ever be worth the pain of losing it?

Robin Hobb
About This Quote

In the novel “The Fault In Our Stars,” it is told that a cancer patient named Hazel gets a letter from the author of a book she read called "The Fault In Our Stars." The letter says, “Hazel Grace Lancaster, I know you're out there. I've been looking for you everywhere. I need you to know that everything I did, everything I said was real.” In this quote from “The Fault In Our Stars,” the author is saying that he has been looking for Hazel and sending her letters because he loved her so much. Losing someone is never easy and can trigger so many emotions.

For those who have experienced this, they can understand how painful it can be to not feel love and to not know what happened to the person you once loved. However, even though we may never understand why or how someone we love could disappear from our lives, we should never give up hope that they will return.
